- Optional photos attached to entries (stored securely and locally)
- Profile information (if using multi-profile feature)
- App preferences and settings
- Reminder preferences
All of this information is stored locally on your device using an encrypted database (AES-256 encryption).We do not have access to this data. No health data is transmitted to any external servers.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
The application may collect certain information automatically, including:
- Device information (model, operating system version) - stored locally only
- App usage statistics (stored locally only)
- Crash reports and error logs (if you opt-in to share them)
We do not use analytics, tracking, or third-party data collection services.Any crash reporting is optional and anonymized.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we use your information solely to:

- Biometric Authentication: Optional Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint lock

- Secure Deletion: Cryptographic erasure when deleting data
However, please note that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, including using device-level security features like screen locks and encryption.
Important: If you uninstall the application, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted. We recommend exporting and backing up important data before uninstalling.
5. Third-Party Services
PoopLog is designed to operate independently with minimal third-party dependencies. The application may use the following services:
- Flutter Framework: The app is built using Flutter. No data is shared with Flutter or Google.
- Crash Reporting (Optional): If you opt-in to crash reporting, anonymized crash logs may be sent to help improve the app. No personal health data is included.
We do not use advertising networks, analytics services, or any third-party services that would have access to your health data.
If any third-party services are used, they have their own privacy policies. We ensure that no personal health data from PoopLog is shared with these services.
6. Permissions
PoopLog may request the following permissions:
- Camera (Optional): Required only if you choose to attach photos to entries. Camera access is only used when you explicitly choose to take a photo. No images or video are transmitted outside your device.
- Photo Library/Gallery (Optional): Required only if you choose to import photos for entries. Only accessed when you explicitly choose to import an image.
- Storage: Required to store your health data and optional photos locally on your device.
- Notifications (Optional): Required only if you choose to enable reminders. Used solely for sending reminder notifications based on your preferences.
- Biometric Authentication (Optional): Required only if you choose to enable biometric lock. Used solely for unlocking the app on your device.
All permissions are used solely for the functionality described above. We do not access your camera, photos, or storage for any other purpose.
7. Data Export and Sharing
PoopLog provides export functionality that allows you to share your data:
- PDF Reports: Professional, formatted reports for healthcare consultations
- CSV Export: Spreadsheet-compatible data for personal analysis
- JSON Export: Data portability format
Export and sharing are entirely under your control.You choose when to export, what data to include, and how to share it. We do not automatically export or share your data. Once you export and share data, it is subject to the privacy policies of the services you use to share it (email, cloud storage, etc.).
8. Children's Privacy
PoopLog is not intended for children under the age of 13 without parental supervision. While the app includes multi-profile support that may be used by parents to track children's health, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 directly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address the situation.
Parents using PoopLog to track their children's health should be aware that all data is stored locally on the device and is subject to the same privacy protections as adult data.
9. Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your information:
- You can view, edit, or delete any entry at any time
- You can export all your data in multiple formats (PDF, CSV, JSON)
- You can create local backups on your device
- You can delete individual entries, bulk delete, or delete all data
- You can clear all app data through your device settings
- You can uninstall the application, which will permanently delete all local data
- You can manage profiles (create, switch, delete) if using multi-profile feature
You own 100% of your data.You control when and how data is shared. You can export all data at any time. You can delete all data at any time. No data is shared with third parties without your explicit action.
